Chamonix is pretty high on the list. I’m planning to hit it up this year or next. I’ve heard great things.

You have to try boarding/skiing in Chamonix, France (Mont-Blanc). The view is out of this world. I’ve never skied in the rockies but so far, the Alps treated me well

Living in NYC, currently I’m in the ‘ski what you can get’ mode. That said, I’m a fan of far less crowded places. I think alpine touring skiing may be the way to go. Multi-mountain terrain, never crowded, and freshies almost all the time. Granted it’s more work, but isn’t that what it’s all about?

Interesting take. When growing up in Colorado, we’d go to Monarch for quick trips, but Keystone & Breck were always my favorite (and remain so) for weekends or longer because there are more cool things to do afterward. Plus, I like me some gondolas.
