We had the opposite experience there just a week before. We had nothing but fog, fog, fog, which was pretty awesome. There was a sign on the hike that said "on a clear day, you can see..." and we laughed. We could barely see three feet from us! Can't imagine a clear day. Anyway, we did the art galleries and boutiques on our half day instead of the insects and such. You make me want to go back! So glad you liked Monteverde!
