Recently a backcountry skier captured his ordeal of being trapped by an avalanche with his helmet cam. Luckily his friends were there to rescue him (video below). On the 15th a skier looking to catch some backcountry powder on Loveland Pass had a brush with disaster and luckily survived. If you are planning on doing any backcountry ski sports please, please, please take the time to get educated and acquire the appropriate equipment.
